SAFETY TRAINING - AVALANCHE COURSE

Ski tours and freeriding are becoming more and more popular, but there are a few things to consider away from the secured slopes. During the 2-hour SNOWSTARS Safety Training, you will be shown how to use the safety equipment (LVS, shovel, probe) and the basics related to avalanches.

Being able to act quickly in an emergency is essential. In this course you will learn how to search for buried subjects and the correct behavior in the event of an avalanche.

This course  is also ideal for young people who want to have fun off the slopes.

Start at 11:00 a.m. at the Kornockbahn valley station, duration 2 hours

Conducted by a state-certified ski guide 

Minimum participants 4 people

Costs: € 40 per person 

      including safety equipment (LVS, shovel, probe)

This course is aimed at all freeride enthusiasts and ski tourers, both for complete beginners and for experienced off-piste enthusiasts as an update of the essential basic knowledge. 

Content:

  • Basic understanding of the avalanche transceiver

  • Behavior in an emergency with single/multiple burials

  • Basics for the prevention of avalanche accidents

  • First aid and organization of professional mountain rescue
